Kitchen tip
No jar with a milk line? Measure 150ml of milk in a jug and weigh 50g of rolled oats on kitchen scales. Our overnight oats jar has both measures built in.
- Add one slightly heaped lid of rolled oats (about 50g): fill the upside-down steel lid and tip it in.
- Mash half the strawberries with half the honey or maple syrup in a small bowl.
- Stir the mashed strawberries into the jar with 1 tbsp cream cheese, ½ tsp vanilla, the rest of the honey, a pinch of salt, and 1 tbsp chia seeds, if using, until smooth.
Kitchen tip
The cream cheese is what makes it taste like cheesecake rather than fruity oats, so it is worth the tablespoon.
- Seal the jar and put it straight in the fridge overnight.
- In the morning, slice the rest of the strawberries on top and add a little crushed biscuit. Too thick? Stir in a splash of milk.
Keeps up to 3 days, sealed, in the fridge at 5°C or below. Add the sliced strawberries and biscuit fresh each morning. How long overnight oats last

Make it your way
Less sweet
Cut the honey to 1 tsp and let the strawberries carry the sweetness. No chia seeds
Leave them out. It still sets from the oats and cream cheese, a little softer.Feeling indulgent
A heavier hand with the crushed biscuit makes it taste even more like cheesecake.Your questions
Is cream cheese safe in overnight oats?
Yes. Cream cheese is a fresh dairy product, so keep the jar sealed in the fridge at 5°C or below and eat it within 3 days.
What is the best biscuit for cheesecake overnight oats?
A crushed digestive, for that classic cheesecake base flavour. One biscuit, roughly crushed, is plenty for a jar. Add it just before eating so it stays crunchy rather than softening overnight.
Can you make strawberry cheesecake overnight oats dairy-free?
Yes. Swap the cream cheese for a plant-based soft cheese, use any plant milk to the same 150ml line, and pick a dairy-free biscuit for the top. Oat milk keeps it creamiest. Use maple syrup instead of honey too, and the jar is vegan.
How many calories are in strawberry cheesecake overnight oats?
Our estimate is about 440 kcal a jar, made as written with semi-skimmed milk, full-fat cream cheese, honey, and the chia, before the biscuit on top. Your choice of milk, cream cheese, and toppings moves it up or down.
